
A while back, I wrote about the New York Times' frequently condescending page 3 (sometimes p.4) articles about those funny foreigners and their funny uncivilized ways.
Now comes a piece about female wrestlers in Bolivia, in a sport called Lucha Libre, (literally, Free Lunch), and goddammit, it's excellent.
Amazing photos, indigenous garb, cool people, and it's weird and wacky and foreign.
Shucks; I guess it's okay to notice the differences between ourselves and our friends and neighbors.
I wish I had me a ticket to the show.
